RMeS Media Excursions: EYE Filmmuseum in Amsterdam

Visit to the EYE Filmmuseum in Amsterdam

Do you prefer to spend your time on Letterboxd or are you simply interested in cinema, history and museum curation? On Friday, February 7, 2025, the Research School for Media Studies (RMeS) is organizing an inspiring visit to the EYE Filmmuseum in Amsterdam. This is a unique opportunity to enjoy an exclusive guided tour that takes you through the brand new exhibition about renowned Turkish director and photographer Nuri Bilge Ceylan, as well as the museum’s permanent collection.

The afternoon begins at 3:00 PM with a tour of EYE’s Collection Centre, led by collection expert Leenke Ripmeester. Afterwards, we will move to the exhibition, where a guided tour will start at 4:30 PM. During this tour, you will gain deeper insights into the work and vision of filmmaker Nuri Bilge Ceylan and explore the rich history of film through EYE’s permanent presentation.

  • Time: 3:00 PM – 5:30 PM
  • Location: EYE Filmmuseum, Amsterdam
  • Cost: Free entry and participation for RMeS members
  • Number of spots: 12 (first come, first served)
