Join the RMeS PhD Council – We’re Looking for an RMA Representative!
Are you an RMA student passionate about media studies and eager to have a voice in shaping the direction of the RMeS PhD program? We want YOU to join the RMeS PhD Council!
As a member of the PhD Council, you’ll have the unique opportunity to:
- Represent RMA students from universities across the country
- Get involved in the workings of a national research school
- Organize events and initiatives that enhance the experience of fellow media studies students
- Meet and collaborate with peers from different universities and academic backgrounds
- Play a key role in keeping students informed about the latest developments in the field of
media studies
The PhD Council consists of one representative from each university affiliated with RMeS. We meet monthly (usually online) to discuss and advise the RMeS Board on curriculum matters, organize events like the annual September kick-off, and create additional projects that benefit both RMA and PhD students. One such project is the In Media Res podcast, which the Council created to provide a platform for media scholars to share advice and experiences with graduate students.
To ensure RMA students are better included in our activities and curriculum development, we are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive RMA member to join the team.
